Summary
M&S’s project delivery approach distributes Fixturisation responsibility across multiple stakeholders, lacking clear accountability, which impacts ownership and “Equipment, Right 1st Time, Every Time” execution.

To address this, a dedicated role will manage Fixture Teams across all New Store and Renewal projects, with clearly defined Roles & Responsibilities. This role will support Direct Procurement, Construction, Tech, and Design teams throughout the project lifecycle while implementing a Service Level Agreement (SLA) to streamline Renewal Team processes.

What you'll do

Your key accountabilities will include

  • Fixturisation Account Management – inc. Fee Structure and payment. Align and allocate FM resource across the M&S programme of works, ensuring that availability and capability is appropriate.
  • Have a clear plan that ensure “Continuous Improvement” is a focus for all projects. Liaise with M&S colleagues and Direct & in-Direct suppliers to support this initiative.
  • Build processes and procedures that supports a Consistent approach to implementation across all equipment delivery programme. “One Way of Working”, “Equipment “Right 1st Time” Every Time”
  • Build and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) structured around measurable, that align with M&S’s project goals. Developing through a collaborative process, ensuring they are challenging yet realistic, with a focus on quality, efficiency, accountability, and cost-effectiveness
  • Communicate to Stakeholders project and programme delivery, highlighting the opportunities Risks and Issues including mitigation and resolution, ensuring project Milestones are achieved
  • Ensure all projects and programmes are delivered with a clear Transport Budget with processes that delivers best value and Right 1st Time implementation, taking clear learnings from one project to the next.

To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected. It also means we can solve problems as soon as they arise, learn and grow as a team, build trust, and get closer to our colleagues.
