M&S is changing fast and our Organisation Design Manager will help build organisational design capability across M&S by coaching and mentoring HR & Change Leaders, along with delivering and assuring brilliant organisational design change here at M&S 

As our Organisation Design Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Scans OD Trends and shifts to challenge our thinking for delivering our People strategies
  • Shares and brings new OD insights and thinking to the team and how they can be applied at M&S
  • Designs & delivers OD learning / deep dives to continually build our capability

Deliver & Assure Brilliant Org Design Change at M&S

  • Brings OD expertise – understanding the business, its strategy, requirements for change and the implications on M&S, our customers and our colleagues
  • Partners the business to lead the design and development of Operating Models and high-level designs with business area leadership teams to drive continued alignment to strategy & organisational efficiency
  • Supports and assures the Organisation Design components of M&S’s strategic Programmes - Proactively influences the approaches taken to project and programme design to balance the achievement of our business plan, colleague and customer plan and OD principles
  • Collects data, diagnoses issues and opportunities and presents options which balance commercial gain with customer and colleague impact
  • Work with HRBPs and to assure design principle compliance and best practice, sharing and maintaining and an organisation wide view

Manage M&S org capabilities so we are fit for the future

  • Support the identification and management of our future competitive capabilities to build
  • Build plans with business owners and HR teams to mature & develop capabilities
  • Engage wider Centre of Expertise and Business Units to support strategic workforce planning and identify critical roles, skills development needs and support capability development

Essential

  • Have a proven track record in the design and deliver of OD change across different industries
  • Be a problem solver and systems thinker
  • Be a strong communicator and able to build rapport at all levels of the business
  • Have a solid grounding in OD theory and experience of applying it in practice
  • Be comfortable working in the fast paced, complex and ambiguous world of change
