Data & Digital (D&D) is in a period of high growth, covering Sparks & Personalisation, Data & Data Science, Omnichannel and Innovation, partnering across all areas of the business.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ownership of Data & Digital financial processes, specifically the running of month end, forecasts, and annual Budget process, coordinating the team to tell the story
  • Drive regular review of future forecast, ensuring accuracy of outlook reported to BU and Group FP&A teams
  • Coordinate financial reviews across all areas of D&D, covering benefits and costs, ensuring they align with key finance deadlines such as budgets, forecasts and Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Aligning benefits calculations across the team to ensure profitability is understood and consistent
  • Ownership of staffing reporting, ensuring that reporting matches SAP and MyHR, supporting the finance managers with any staffing forecasts
  • Review key financial controls including the fixed asset register and assets under construction, ensuring consistency across the team and proactive action
  • Work closely with Business Service Centre to ensure all controls are in place and proactively improve processes across all the areas of D&D
  • A key support to the D&D Finance team, supporting the Senior Finance Manager and other Finance Managers in the team across pinch points

  • Excellent attention to detail and an inquisitive nature to get under the skin of the issue
  • Confidence to challenge and ability to pull together the simple story from seemingly sophisticated information
  • Collaborative approach, with natural style that builds a strong network
  • A drive for continuous improvement: implementing or coordinating changes to processes which improve the team’s efficiency and outputs
  • Ability to work at pace and respond quickly to changing demands and priorities

What you’ll get from the role
