Online Commercial

This is the part of our business that ensures we have the right products available at the right time – every time. Combining season-to-season trade planning and forecasting with longer term strategising, branding and content creation, Online Commercial has a crucial role to play in driving our market share and delivering on sales and margin goals – all while telling a consistent and authentic story to customers.

Onsite Trading

Here’s where we create shopping experiences that customers find easy, relevant and inspirational. Made up of several teams spanning analytics, activity planning, optimisation and site trading, this part of Ecommerce harnesses data to help us understand our customers, drive loyalty at every turn, and ultimately deliver on our ambitious commercial plans.

Customer Channels

Having a great website is one thing. Making sure customers know about it is quite another. Thankfully, that’s where our Customer Channels team comes into the picture. Through a mix of paid media, CRM and measurement, this team works together to ensure we are utilising all of our available channels in the best possible way – and driving customers through to our site in a way that aligns closely with our commercial plans.

Digital Operations & Service Proposition team

Working across Technology, fulfilment centres, carriers, foods, bank, International, retail, contact centre, Sparks and many others – this part of Ecommerce keeps M&S.com thriving year-round. At the same time as maintaining the excellence customers have come to expect from our online presence, we’re also focused on areas of growth and improvement, including developing our in-store fulfilment capabilities.
