Play a vital role behind the M&S products our customers love. Join this structured two-year leadership programme and discover how our products move across our supply chain, gaining first-hand experience of the people, operations and decisions that keep our business moving.
You'll start with a four-month placement in one of our stores, gaining first-hand insight into our customers, colleagues and business. From there, you'll complete a series of carefully designed experiences to give you an elevated understanding of our operations.
You'll learn how products move through our network and how capacity is managed, help our supply chain and operational teams become even more efficient and see, up close, how operational excellence helps us create the M&S magic customers know and love.
What it takes to succeed
Curiosity and ambition. That’s what you need. We're looking for future leaders who are excited by our products and the opportunity to help us continuously improve. And it’s not about having a specific degree. What matters most is a ‘give it your all’ mindset, a motivation to learn and a passion for delivering better customer experiences.
Alongside that, you'll thrive if you can:
think boldly and learn quickly
take ownership of opportunities and challenges
find smarter, more efficient ways of working
balance customer needs with commercial priorities.
Where it could lead
This programme is about developing the future senior leaders of M&S. It means the experiences, skills and networks you'll build, will amplify your career and prepare you for big-impact roles across our business.
You'll finish the programme in a permanent role in one of our logistics teams. From there, you’ll continue developing towards increasingly senior opportunities and then leadership positions, helping to shape the future of Fashion, Home and Beauty at M&S.
Why Fashion, Home and Beauty at M&S?
Our products spark trends and start conversations all over the UK. Making this one of the most exciting and rapidly evolving areas of our business.
As we continue to strengthen our operations, we're investing in talented people who can think differently, challenge convention and help us transform the way we serve customers.
It means you’ll be joining a business that combines iconic products, ambitious growth and a culture that encourages collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.

Being an in-person business
We're at our best when we're close to customers, and for many of us at M&S, that means working in store every day.
To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected. It also means we can solve problems as soon as they arise, learn and grow as a team, build trust, and get closer to our colleagues.
Learning & support
Your development is our priority at M&S. We’re committed to helping you grow and aim higher every day. You’ll benefit from a structured programme that includes mentoring, on-the-job training, and opportunities to solve real challenges. This hands-on experience will be instrumental in building a long-term career in the Food industry.
We believe in being bold and ambitious, so if we see that you can reach your potential faster, we’ll provide the tools and opportunities to make it happen. However, the person who will drive this development is you. With our support, we want you to own and take charge of your growth. Your proactive approach and commitment to learning will be key to your success.
