To stay close to our customers and colleagues, our support teams are in the office for at least three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected.
This role will be responsible for creating insightful and actionable Management Information to empower operational teams to make well informed decisions, optimise performance, and drive continuous improvement. Utilising complexed data sets to uncover operational opportunities, translating findings into clear, practical recommendations that strengthen site resilience and support digital growth ambitions.
Supporting with the creation of high-quality data analytics to meet the needs of various internal stakeholders, managing multiple concurrent analytical and reporting requirements across multiple areas of the Castle Donington operation and collaborating with other sites across our wider network. This role will contribute to improvements that enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall customer experience.
If you’re a curious, data driven problem solver who thrives on transforming complex datasets into powerful insights and enjoys using modern data platforms alongside analytical languages such as SQL, Python or R to turn complexity into clarity then this role offers an unique opportunity to shape decision making and deliver meaningful impact across our fastmoving ECOM operations.
NB This is a full-time role based at our Distribution centre in Castle Donington in Derbyshire.
What you’ll do
Your key accountabilities will include
Deliver high-quality data analytics tailored to the needs of internal stakeholders, managing multiple concurrent analytical and reporting requirements across functional and support areas of the site, including Operations, Inventory Control, Planning, and Finance
Translate complex business questions into clear, data-driven insights, delivering reports, presentations, and well-evidenced recommendations that drive action
Enhance the efficiency and speed of analytics production at Castle Donington through process automation, the identification of reusable data assets, and the adoption of best-practice data workflows
Partner with stakeholders to develop meaningful, actionable MI that supports informed decision making and drives the right operational behaviours
Champion the adoption of modern reporting tools, including Power BI dashboards, providing guidance and support to the wider business in their effective use
Who you are
Your skills and experience will include
Advanced data manipulation and analytical skills, with the ability to interrogate complex datasets and transform findings into clear, actionable insights
Hands on experience with cloud-based data platforms, including Azure Data Lake Services, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Databricks for scalable data engineering and pipeline management
Proficiency in analytical and programming languages such as SQL and Python, with the ability to access, link and query data across multiple database environments
Skilled in modern data visualisation tools, particularly Power BI and/or Tableau, with the capability to create intuitive, high impact dashboards and reports
Experience working with large-scale datasets across enterprise data platforms (SQL Server and Oracle), with strong technical problem-solving and data workflow troubleshooting capabilities.
