Summary
We are looking for a Fashion, Home & Beauty Model Format Manager to lead the development, governance and continuous improvement of our store format models across the M&S estate. You'll play a key role in defining technical standards, managing design specifications, and ensuring our store formats deliver a consistent, compliant and commercially effective customer experience.

Working closely with teams across Property, Store Design, Construction, Commercial, IT, Security and Engineering, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our store formats while driving innovation and continuous improvement.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the creation, maintenance and continuous enhancement of store format models, including layouts, construction details and design packages.
  • Define and manage architectural, mechanical, electrical and interior specifications across all store formats.
  • Act as the central point of expertise for store format standards, ensuring alignment across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support commercial planning by providing accurate format data and design information to inform cost models and business decisions.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement by integrating new concepts, technologies and design solutions into future formats.

Who You Will Be

  • A technical property or construction professional with experience developing and managing design standards and specifications.
  • Experienced in store design, retail environments or large-scale construction projects.
  • Comfortable working across multiple disciplines and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • A strong communicator who can translate technical information into clear and practical guidance.
  • Passionate about driving consistency, innovation and operational excellence.

What You Will Bring

  • Experience interpreting architectural drawings and using CAD and Revit software.
  • Knowledge of construction, store design and customer-focused retail environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience managing consultants and reviewing technical outputs against business requirements.
  • Excellent documentation, organisation and communication skills, with a strong eye for detail.
