What You'll Do
- Lead the creation, governance, and continuous improvement of store format models, design packages, and developer shell specifications across all store formats.
- Define and maintain technical standards covering architectural, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, and interior specifications to support consistent delivery.
- Act as the central point of contact for store format standards, ensuring alignment and compliance across internal teams, consultants, and delivery partners.
- Drive innovation and optimisation by collaborating with Store Design, Engineering, IT, Security, and Commercial teams to integrate new solutions into future formats.
- Manage format documentation, technical communications, consultant performance, and regulatory compliance to enable right-first-time project execution.
Who You Will Be
- A technically credible professional with experience in store design, construction, architecture, or format development.
- A collaborative stakeholder manager, skilled at building strong relationships across multiple disciplines and influencing technical decision-making.
- Detail-oriented and organised, with a strong focus on governance, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
- A confident communicator, able to translate complex technical requirements into clear and practical guidance.
- Commercially aware, understanding how technical decisions impact capital investment, operational costs, and customer experience.
What You Will Bring
- Proven experience developing and managing technical specifications, standards, and design documentation across multiple disciplines.
- Strong understanding of store design, construction principles, and delivering customer-focused retail environments.
- Experience interpreting architectural drawings, with proficiency in CAD and Revit software.
- Ability to assess technical solutions, consultant outputs, and innovations against business requirements and operational objectives.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive consistency and quality across complex programmes.
