Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Group Fire, Health & Safety Manager to lead the development and delivery of Fire, Health & Safety strategy across the organisation. This role is critical in ensuring legal compliance, managing risk, and strengthening safety standards through expert guidance, governance, and continuous improvement.

You will act as the Group subject matter expert, partnering with business units and senior stakeholders to drive a proactive, consistent, and high‑performing safety culture.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and evolve the Group Fire, Health & Safety strategy, policy, and governance, ensuring alignment with legislation and business risk appetite.
  • Provide expert support across business units on safety performance, incident response, risk management, and due diligence.
  • Establish and maintain robust governance, including risk registers, KPI reporting, and working groups to manage current and emerging risks.
  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders and external bodies to ensure compliance and alignment with regulatory and industry standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement through insight, benchmarking, and the development of consistent standards and capability across the Group.

Who You Will Be

  • A qualified and experienced Fire, Health & Safety professional with deep technical expertise and regulatory knowledge.
  • A strong leader and influencer, able to engage and challenge stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
  • Highly resilient and calm under pressure, with the ability to lead in complex and high‑risk situations.
  • Proactive and self‑motivated, able to prioritise critical activity and drive progress independently.
  • An excellent communicator and collaborator, building strong relationships internally and externally.

What You Will Bring

  • Advanced qualifications in Health & Safety and Fire Safety (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma, Fire Safety qualifications, IOSH membership).
  • In‑depth knowledge of Fire and Health & Safety legislation, regulation, and best practice.
  • Strong experience in risk management, incident response, and governance within complex organisations.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and embed consistent standards across multiple business units.
  • Experience in programme delivery, stakeholder engagement, and using insight to drive continuous improvement.
