Experience exactly what your future needs.
M&S is thinking outside the box to stay a step ahead of changing retail trends. But we need the optimism and disruptive nature of students like you to introduce us to the next big thing. If you’re looking for a year in industry before finishing your degree, make sure you pick one with digital and sustainability credentials like M&S – so employers can see you’re thinking of the future.
What we look for in you
Our 12-month Business Placements have been awarded the Quality Mark for Work Experience. These are courses for students who want to learn something new every day, whether it’s food, fashion or the inner-workings of a fast-moving business. We attract enterprising souls looking for the sort of training that sparks the imagination and mentors who promise to bring the best out of them.
We’ll give you context which will inspire how you approach the rest of your degree. And better yet, fill you with confidence about the career you want to pursue. You’ll start wondering how you can create your own path, rather than following others. But you’ll still turn the heads of employers with your CV.
Why I chose M&S
My time at M&S was a really great experience for me. I am thrilled that I undertook this career event even though it was from my own home for a majority. I was glad I could help my category team to deliver for our customers the products they expect as well as understanding complaints to help drive quality.
Being on an M&S Business Placement during peak at Christmas was such an eye-opening experience to see how all colleagues worked together to deliver the unique peak this year. The teams adaptability and resilience during these times was an inspiration for my future career and I hope to work with them again soon.
